Just to say to all who replied to my last post that my 4yr old recently gelded stallion is now much better since changing a few things. I have changed his routine and feed and what a difference in two weeks. He is lovely and forward going, actually keen out hacking how and even gets excited trotting! He is even faster leading to and from the field and not slow like he was. He trots in hand very showey and straight away. I feed a feed balancer, oats, alfalfa oil, speedy beet twice a day and half a bale of hay a day! So pleased I changed things for him, as I knew something was wrong because he was not like that when I bought him, and even though castrating a stallion will make him more docile vet said, I really didn't think it would be that much! I will still be taking things slowly though as he is only 4yrs and looking forward to him getting fitter and even more forward as he matures and havn't had the spring grass yet! Thanks everyone who replied last time and I am not sad anymore as I have my forwardgoing arab back again!

Great to hear that, all you need to do is remember what to cut back when he gets too lively in the spring

Thanks. Yes I will remember that in the spring, and I am already cutting back the oats!
