Ah, it's not just me then?? I can't think of anything life-altering as such, just lame things like 'I won't dump wet rugs in the corner to 'deal with' later'

My resolution may seem a little sad to some, but after an awful year of losing too many beasties the one little thing I have to do is to finally take Hakkas picture off my phone as the wallpaper, 2012 is going to be a better year and pictures of the departed have to go. They will always be in my memory and photos are on my pc or my walls for the mourning over. Roll on a happier year.

No thats all off the top of my head!!!
After just waiting in town to pick my husband up from work and seeing all the girls on their nights out i think i had better add that i want to be more glamorous in the new year too!! Rolling up to pick Isobel from school with wellies, filthy coat and haylage poking out from under my hat is not a good look!!

Wow Carol..that's some serious resolving to be had!! (No mention of sprouts I notice!! ) Look at it this way, maybe all the other mums think you're one of the really posh horsey set....hurraaahh Henry fnah fnah!!
Hmmmmmm Ride more (when it's not like Kansas out there!) Get to a couple of pleasure rides, first timers...need to be brave! BE BRAVER!! And I'm far too comfy in my jods & scruffs, so I guess to make more effort (brush hair, dig out some warpaint occasionally..etc etc!!) Keep my house as clean & tidy as my stable?!?

To really get Lily going in 2012 (thwarted by splint last year, and to be honest leaving her to mature didn't hurt her - she's not 7 til next June, and my giantess is finally starting to fill out and develop a bottom ). Was full of the best intentions this morning and arrived at her stable in thick winter jodhs and plenty of reflective clothing, only then did I take into account the howling wind, and - by the time the neds had finished their breakfasts - the freezing rain/hail that started bucketing down. So I contented myself (and irritated her) with removing some of the mud, wrapping her up in her combo rug and turning her out. She proved this was a wise decision by flying off down the field with her heels frequently in the air and lots of head twirling , so probably just as well I didn't take her off for her first hack for a week on her own down our fairly busy lanes Will put all the clobber on again tomorrow and try again (but must admit haven't checked the forecast yet ).

Another one for the 'loose two stone' (lack of willpower when doughnuts around). Halve the number of neddies (some hope), so we are not heamoraging dosh. Do more with the 'stunners' languishing in the fields and stables, not be so picky about new homes, (difficult as they are members of the family you are parting with). Plus get OH mended, he's had a grim 3 months. 2012 will be strange the first for over 35 years no Vlacq foals.

There seems to be a 'weight loss' thing for a few of us but really by the time we all get to the end of Winter I bet most of our mince pie and cream weight has dropped off anyway! Slogging through mud with a laden wheelbarrow must burn a fair few off
I'm also going for saving a few pennies although probably not a hope in hell for that as I have planned to get a new saddle in the Spring

I need to stop eating so much crap so I lose weight naturally (yeah right!)

I HAVE to be organised about the show schedule for next year and not last minute (finances allowing)

I REALLY want to get Boysie out doing more dressage and get his jumping going again so Angel can work towards jumping him

Get Angel BSJA registered and get her and shadow to the junior shows so she can get she double clears and qualify for scope

Unfortunately most of its finance dependedent

Try to cook hubbie a meal... at least once a month

Try to make an effort not to look- and smell-like a walking muck heap ALL the time!

and win the lottery
