Thanks to TanyanChewy who introduced me to "Words With Friends" which is an iPhone app to play Scrabble games - it's brilliant fun and you can have multiple games on the go with different friends.

| It is great entertainment. We've been playing for about 6 months. You can play in Ernest or just pop in every couple of days to play your turn. Up to 20 different opponents at a time. Have to say it allows some words I would never have dreamed up and disallows some that surprise me. Very educational and a brilliant for improving spelling. |

Gem, I'm not a tactical player (not at all competitive) but TanyanChewy and Fleas who sometimes post on here are absolute demons! I'm by no means uneducated and have quite a good vocabulary but Tanya has beaten me by over 100 points in both our games so far.....and she has never beaten Fleas, so I'm expecting to be trounced! If you'd like a game, I'm Kharidian (no surprises there)!

Caryn you havent played a new word in over 24hrs now! I am currently waiting for moves on all the games I am playing and keep staring at it waiting for it to be my move, what a saddo!
Am wondering if my phone might be to blame as its been really slow recently. Its desperately trying to give me a kick up the a%& to get my upgrade sorted!
Any other AL'ers fancy a game I'm QueenB'83

DARN I-PHONE! TBH I should have known something was up as also waiting on moves from Fleas and that is unusual! Oh dear going off to reboot it now and see if it fixes it
Well I was planning to upgrade to the IPhone 4GS (currently on the 3GS) but am starting to wonder! |

LOL, I think it must be your phone as I'm actively playing with Fleas at the moment. I'm currently less than 100 points behind both you and Fleas so that's good (for me)! I'm getting a bit more tactical and not just playing the first word I think of; but I've some way to go! I'm also playing with Gem@Oakmeister (and I'm trailing there, too) but I'm ahead on points with Emma but she plays so intermittently.
The iphone 4s sounds like a great phone; good reviews on the Gadget Show but as I have a SIM-only contract direct with O2 and I had problems with installing iTunes on my computer I don't think I'd be able to transfer data/apps easily and I don't think a shop would help as I wouldn't want a contract with them.
