Well so far we have had hailstones, sleet lots and lots of rain but woke up this morning to the tractor driving past ( twice) gritting the road, it was white, not happy , it has mainly gone as the day has gone on but they say its going to be bad tonight, the foalies loved it, all apart from Fred our softie southerner, he came out took one look and ran back in baby 6 week old foal loved it , he was bouncing round like a spring lamb bless him was going to take some piccies but dropped camera, trying to dry it off now hope it still works .

Me and Mouse are still waiting for the snow. Part of me really wants snow and part of me (the part that has a motorbike). But this cold weather has got Mouse bouncing all over the place, good and fun times! But no hacks to the beach :-( |

Meggie-lu i used to ride a motorbike years ago, i remember riding to work one morning in the snow and i was so cold i got off it and left it at the side of the road, i walked the rest of the way to warm up and my bosses son went and got it on the tractor, i don,t envy you, but at the time it was all i had, stay safe and warm , they have also brought out far better clothing nowadays and also i would of loved the handwarmers they do now, my hands used to freeze to the handlebars. |

Yaas! snow!!! Anything but this rain and gale force winds! We had hail and sleet in the town but there was a smattering of snow up where the neds are. My boy was out snug as a bug in his new rug in it. Happy days today. Sorry guys but im rooting for the snow...mon the snow! |

I'm with Vik1 on this - would MUCH prefer some snow to the endless rain and gale force winds we're currently battered with in Cornwall - sure my ponio is starting to grow webbed feet!! Mind you we NEVER get snow (maybe 1 day a year ) so it would be a huge novelty..... and then I would imagine get REALLY tiring and annoying!!
On second thoughts Tuscany is starting to sound just fab right now..... fancy a house swap Pasch?? |

ok to make you feel better we have very strong wind today and grey skies(but still no rain)and temperatures down to 14/15C...Surely cold will come all at once but we hardly go below zero(at night, that is)for more than a couple of weeks a year... One of my pet dreams is to own some land here and a lovely typical tuscan country house, and open a bed&breakfast, but the prices are so high I should win the lottery first!Wish me luck, then I'll have a big opening party and invite you all! |

Ok now, just to make you feel less jealous, winter has arrived here, too,in time for Xmas! In just 2 days we went from sunny dry 16-18C to 140km/h winds, tornados, hailstorms, rain and now cold,-5C last night and hardly 6C daytime,I know it's not that cold for some of you but we are freezingespecially since it was such a sudden drop one can hardly get used to it! Hopefully won't last long and we should go up to the 4-12C range typical of this area and time of the year. |
