Milo is now a weanling it couldn't have went any better really, i seperated them on thursday and its the best they had been to date not even a whinney from either os i decided it was time to leave them seperated. next morning i put milo back on for 10 mins to relief phoebe and it was long enough as phoebe didn't want him any longer. They were a bit stressed though when i seperated them again so i didn't see the point of stressing them further so they have been seperated since. Reduced phoebes feed down to encourage her milk to dry up and today she wasn't even answering milo if he neighed just ignored him completly. . Milo just doesn't know what to be at i have to feed him in the biggest heaviest feed buckets and keep the over sized water bucket in with him full other wise he picks it up and swings it round his head regardless to whats in it. and the contents go round his stable Been cracking on with phoebes preperation for backing and either tommorrow or monday i will have my first ride on her looking forward to it and cant see any problems arising. Today i gave her a good long reigning session and it went really well, then i brought up the lane and stopped at the house removed the ropes and attached one to her nose band and used the door step for height. i stood her up lent over her, jumped beside, her banged the saddle, lent in the stirrup. Then i put a foot in the stirrup and stood on the stirrup a few times, then i put foot in stirrup lent right over her and let her take her self a walk up the lane with me over her back, it never bothered her the slightest. I would have got up proper if i had of had a hat on and reigns attached. tommorrow or monday i will have help so i can do it safely then.
