First of all, do you want her as a family riding horse, a show horse, a competitive horse and if so what discipline??? No horse is perfect but conformation traits have marked differences depending on your future wishes for her. |

I like her!A bit lanky but she's a teenager after all. What breeding?Looks Russian with high withers like that but I'm no expert like some people here! I think she looks athletic and will be beautiful when older and more developed/exercised.Enjoy! |

I'm no expert but she looks grand and with a bit of growing up just the type of horse I would want to ride. To you she is perfect and that's what matters. |

I think she's nice, but she is also 3 so will change anyway. And then when you start working her, her outline, topline etc will change I was trying to work the photo out, thought she was sniffing another horse at first but looks like a mirror image?? But I can't make out a mirror edge. Very confuddled...?? |

It is how you see her that matters. If you love her then that really is the most important thing. She is very young and has a lot of growing and maturing to do. If you want to show her maybe some of our experts on here can advise on what to look for conformation wise....do you know her breeding? |

Well she looks gorgeous to me, but then I am biased as I own her daddy!
She will change shape when she matures and fills out, but to my eye she is nicely put together, she has a lovely shoulder and good strong legs and will make a super ridden horse.

She looks a nice filly. It may be the way she is standing but her croup looks as if it could be better but as the photo is taken at an angle it is difficult to tell. She looks as if she will make a really nice riding horse and her overall conformation looks good.
Enjoy her.

Overall a nice little mare. Short croup, neck a bit upside down, cant really see legs. She will look totally different with some work, her minor faults you wont see. Have fun, she is lovely |

Nice shoulder, good legs from the side , nice head and bend at the poll. I think she will mature into a really nice horse for riding and having fun with ( she looks a little character too ! ) |

Hi, Like others have said hard to tell from photos and the fact she is still young. I would say firstly she looks very pretty, she does look like she needs some more condition. Her behind looks like it could do with some building. I would put her on something like spillers conditioning mix or calm and condition. I got my boy a few years back and he looked similar. Athletic looking and have used the above at different times and he now looks like a different horse of which she will as she gets older anyways.
Good luck im sure she will be lovely what ever you decide to do with her |

I own her dam & she has probably one of the best bodies & toplines I've seen in a while with good legs & movement too so even though she looks a bit upside down with a slopey croup, if she takes after her dam then she should mature into something very nice. |

I think she looks really nice and she is young so will change and mature into something completely different they all go through their lanky stages and ugly stages, one day they can look perfect and the next all wrong, there is no such thing as the "perfect horse" and some faults are worse than others, so go and do everything you want to do with her and enjoy yourself personally I like her and would not be unhappy seeing her in my ring to be judged |

Thanks for the replies everyone, sorry iv been busy with work. Its lovely to have some feedback on her. She was a bit of an impluse thing(not that im prone to them ) Im totally smitten so it would matter if she had three legs. She is just soooo lovely to be around and handle, it feels like she has always been here not that iv only had her a couple of weeks
She was very brave yesterday as well and is not sporting her first rug, not sure she is over impressed though but she was very good for it
Pasch I think you are more of an expert than you think, I think from looking at her pedigree that she has alot of russian in her
Gerri I hadnt considered showing her, I didnt think she would have been of the standard required but as I say I havent a clue, my experience of showing was working for Tim Fairburn so more hunters etc. Now that you've said that I might have a little go at some small ones lol |

First of all i am not a breeder of purebreds but like to consider myself to have a reasonable eye for conformation and your young girl looks fine to me, she just lacks a litle topline which will come with maturity when she develops more muscle. She has lovely short pasterns, nice flat bone and good set on front, she is deep in the body although because she is a little lacking in muscle it gives the impression of being long but if you place your finger over the photograph where the sadlle would fit it is clear that she is not! The other misleading optical illusion is she appears to have a strong muscle under her neck (a bit underslung) but again she is just lacking the upper muscle, that will come in time. Alltogether a lovely young girl, no wonder you love her! |

I'm in no way an expert, and I'm not even going to comment on her conformation because she looks fine to me. She's a beautiful girl and will continue growing into one |

Based on what others have said, I'm sure that once you start working her and the condtioning comes through, her shape will change completely. The most important thing is - your her owner, and you love her. Not knowing her pedigree, but going from the comments made by Kate (owner of the sire) and Steve (owner of the dam) its a safe bet that there is a lot of Russian in there
Enjoy your chesi girl, they are such fun |
