Your mare is gorgeous! I too am a fan of the hi-fiz vest, been meaning to get one for ages a few of the girls at our yard have got them and if nothing else it makes drivers check themselves for a second... |

The vests were featured in H & H recently, apparently one woman driver threw her coffee AND her phone in the footwell because thought it was the police so they do have an effect...quite fancy one for myself, but not sure my yellow pony would be mistaken for a police horse...
Well done with Kirstie - she's looking great |

Thank you everyone she is being great. We went out without being led today and had no problems, tomorrow we are going out with another horse for the first time. The scariest think has been puddles not a chance of going through those, but that will come in time. We met dogs on and off the lead, off lead she wasn't too sure about but leg on and told to keep walking she did. We also did more trotting. Unsure what to do now do we keep hacking out or some schooling or a bit of both and for how long? Mary |

Well done and what a beautiful horse you have, as regards to puddles they often think it is a deep hole as they only see a few colours and if you are on say a grey road and suddenly there is a deep puddle the horse will think it is a hole and not want to cross. Best to get off and lead her then get back on, also practise at home whenever it rains and lead her through any puddles around your yard, she will soon get used to it. Alison

Congrats! Kirstie is beautiful and looks nice and relaxed in your pics! You could do some schooling and hacking, but i would say dont leave to long between hacks until shes had a bit more experience. |
