TOMAN and he absolutely loved it.
As part of his training Kate always tries to give him lots of different things to do and decided swimming would be a good way to give him some enjoyment.
He hesitated for one second and then walked straight in and started swimming straight and true right away - he made us laugh with his smile on his face BUT boy did he enjoy it. He's off again this Friday for a second session and then dressage on Sunday
Smile please

I thought you'd be interested to see these photos - it really is a great way to give variety in the training of horses. Yes Stuart he had a lesson today and was much more fluid but knowing Tom - Sunday will be another day!!!!
The best part was that he changed even more peoples misconceptions of how Arabs, esp stallions behave. He never stopped "smiling" throughout his swimming session.
We are very fortunate that the hydrotherapy pool is not far away, so now Kate and Tom have wheels there is no stopping them |
