i've just bought a saddle from a well known auction site. lovely saddle but it has been flocked on one side more than the other. usually i do ask about this and general condition, but in this case i didn't. the seller made no mention of the unlevel flocking in the listing so i'm not sure what to do, if i can do anything, it's 3 months to get a saddle flocked by me. and if i re-sell it on ebay i would mention it so would end up losing money on the saddle.
not sure what to do?

Depends what the advert said. However, the saddle should be able to be used and as it isn't you should ask for the cost of the reflocking back or a full refund and the return of the saddle. Did you pay by Paypal, if so report it to them? The advert should have said that it needed reflocking or that the flocking was uneven.

hiya, contacted seller, was polite, and just said i wouldn't of described the saddle as being in excellant condition and hope we can resolve this, and she/he replied saying she/he had it checked over by master saddler(won't mention name) and that she made no mention of it, i should get it reflocked anyway so pay for that and i still got a good saddle for the money anyway.
basically contacted the seller back stating the above and would like sort it out without going through ebay, but not heard back now |

3 months for re-flocking OMG, shop about but by me they come out and do it at the yard with me so they can see how it sits on the horse and if it needs re-adjusting. |
