Hello, first of all thank you for reading this. Secondly if you can't help or want to judge please don't make hurtful or unuseful comments, this is a serious situation. My friend has had some serious health issues in the last year onto of her marrige breakdown a few years ago. She has been struggling and has sold or given away all of her arabs in the hope of keeping her stallion who she's had since he was 5 months old! He is her pride n joy and best friend. Her finances havnt improved and she now finds herself in a position wher she can only afford his livery ect for 1 more month. He has been advertised in various places but she's had no interest except one person suggesting she put him to sleep! He is a true gentleman easy to do loving a brilliant ride and loves in hand showing too. His foals are stunning. He has always placed from county to international level and also makes a fab riding horse and stable mate.
If anyone can help or take him on loan for 2 years to allow him to enjoy life while my friend sorts herself out please can you pm me or post ideas on here.
The stallion is Eldor by Eldon Ex Tahirah
Thanks in advance Jacki + Anne + Eldor

I think Anne knows I love this chap alot and if wishes were horses would take him straight away but no stallions allowed on our yard. Truly hoping he finds a lovely home, if he is even half as wonderful as his brother that I sadly lost 5 years now someone will be very lucky to have him.
Love to Anne xx |

Such a shame, i would think if he were a gelding he would be taken but unfortunatly stallions are a no no on most yards.
Wishing your friend luck and hope someone can help here in her situation x |

Truely hope someone can help - this must be every owner's worst nightmare. Unfortunately we don't have the facilities for another horse. |

I sincerely hope somebody can help them, she obviously loves this horse, you just never know what's around the corner in life and it could happen to anyone. Truly hope things turn out for the best, surely somebody has room for a couple of years?? lets hope so. |

The owner sounds like a very nice lady;and its so refreshing to hear of the absolute dedication to her horses; and that she rejects PTS. The horses always deserve help, but this lady sounds like she really deserves help. I so hope someone is able to help her, and that she gets him back one day. |

I really hope someone can help. Unfortunately for those on livery yards, stallions are usually a no no. I have an Eldon grandson :-) please keep us posted on anymore news. Nikki x |

How distressing for your friend. Is gelding him not an option, like has been said he would probably be easier to re home on a temporary basis for 2 years than a stallion, howver well behaved they are some livery yards say NO NO NO and dont even know what they are like, also the breeding game isnt at its best at the moment.
I Know once they are off they cant be put back on but its worth her thinking baout.
Sorry I cant help, and I genuinely hope shje finds someone for her beloved horse. It can or could happen to any of us.

If someone were to take him I'm sure Anne would allow him to be gelded but it would need to be done at the vets due to his age and the fact he has been used. Again financially Anne is not in a position to geld him herself. Ive asked her but I'm sure if someone wanted to take him on and geld him that would be an option! As long as he was fully insured. We appreciate all the good vibes, thank you, please ask your horsey friends too if they know of anyone who may be able to help.
Edited as I've asked about gelding, and to correct my terrible spelling. |

What an awful position to be in for your friend. But as others have said. Stallions are a No no on most yards. I'm sure someone on here might be able to take him though??? |

This a wonderful horse who has had the very best all his life, and has been well loved. I'm sure he would make someone a great riding horse and new best friend. I am sure he will find a suitable home as he is so stunning. Good Luck Alison |

Im crossing everything someone has a space somewhere for a beautiful boy
I understand what people are saying about gelding him... but in reality iit would take a good 12 months for his hormones to settle down so it wouldnt make any difference for turn out etc
Hopfully somneone will grab the opportunity to add a line to their stud
good luck

Hi he is on a private yard with 3 other horses so no-one there! We have had ads up for a hood few week from tack shops to online sites. Eldor has always been stabled and although he may live it's not fair to move him away from home and then move him again. He is a loving sensitive horse and loves routine and affection. |

This is so sad, I know Anne and she's one the nicest people you could ever meet. I admire her for loving Eldor so much she's prepared to do let him go.
I have everything crossed that Eldor finds the loving home he deserves and Anne finds peace of mind she deserves. |

I too know Anne and Eldor and wish I had room for another stallion but with four of my own I don't have the stables or paddocks for another one. I am trying to find someone who would give him a good home but times are hard at the momennt.
If he was going for longer it may be easier to find him a home but for someone to geld him but, realistically, have a stallion for a year, and then have a gelding for a year would be difficult and there is not just the problem of having a stallion but having the considerable cost of having him gelded.
He is a lovely horse and Anne is a lovely person; I am sure there is someone who can help.

I do hope someone can come to the rescue. Such a sad situation and such a shame that stallions are always viewed as being a problem. Things I fear are set to become harder for us all with the way the economy is going. There will be someone out there I'm sure. |

2 years isn't fixed it's more of a minimum to give Anne a chance to really sort herself out so when Eldor does come home it's for good to a happy secure home for the rest if his days! Any offers or ideas will be considered as long as he is well cared for and warm ( he doesn't like to be cold) . Thank you for your good wishes, ideas and pms So far nothing has been sorted so please keep the feelers out

I wish Anne the very best in finding Eldor the best home and sorting herself out.
I am going through the exact same thing at the moment with my mare. I have been very lucky, Jan 2010 she went to stay with very good friends of mine to help me out and so I could sort my finances out, but unfortunately, I am not in the position I had hoped I would be in, and have made the heart breaking decision to sell Mila. I truly hope this doesn't happen with Anne and Eldor.
Thinking of her through this very hard time.

There but for the grace of God go any of us.......my heart truly goes out to this lovely lady. I so hope Eldor finds a wonderful temporary home, and that he can eventually be reunited with this lady who obviously loves him so much. So very sad |

I do hope there is someone out there who can take him. Unfortunately as I lost my job in the recession I can't afford to have another stallion paddock fenced off and mobile stable put up.
Anne, I do hope things work out for you and the lovely Eldor.
