Top priced tickets to the dressage to music are £275 each! So much for making the Olympics accessible to all. Even the cheap ones are £65. I have registered 'interest' anyway. Cant wait.

So £550-00 for two plus travel at say £200-00 return plus hotel plus food say £1000-00 in round numbers !

Sounds like good value for money NOT !

Bet you wont hear many Northern or Scots accents around !!

I think I'd like to see any event equestrian or not - I cant see us ever hosting again in my lifetime. I'll even go and see showjumping at a stretch...
It does make it very expensive if you had to stay overnight too, I hadnt thought of that, Oldhand. I have a friend who conveniently lives in the middle of Greenwich and have already booked a space on her sofa...

I am lucky though that I can get the train or DLR from my local station and will only take me 30mins to get there, so feel i must make the most of it

My brothers on the list for London 2012 again so def going to see the rowing although the whole family cant go with him, so have a feeling it will cost us all a bit as its the 1st chance ever for us all to be at every olympic race but what the hell, this is definately he last! Would love to see the dressage and the mens 100 metres of relay races, just depends on prices I guess!

I'm going to try and go for the eventing cc day, and also for one of the cheapest £20 team dressage days. Can't afford any more than that.

I'm only about 30 miles west of London, but to get to Greenwich will take me between 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Not easy, but definitely commutable if I only go once or twice.

Arachnid, Shah - if we all manage to get cross country day tickets (I say IF) - I'd love to catch up with you 2 again - although I hope to have already caught up with you both again a long time BEFORE August 2012!

Oh, I too might possibly go and watch some rowing too, because rowing is BIG round my part of the world (Steve Redgrave lives in the next village) and they all train locally on the Thames. Dorney Lake is about 10 by car drive from my house.

If there is one thing us British are good at....It's supporting our big events. None can be bigger then the Olympics!!

Prices are high, agreed, but to be honest many of us are probably unlikely to see the Olympics in the UK in our lifetime again, so when you look at it like that it's money well spent.

We have registered and are keeping everything crossed although suspect the Dressage will be immensely popular!

I'm looking forward to it, said I'd like to go for my 50th birthday present though at those prices think I'll be putting a lot of money towards it myself Think it's a bit bad as Visa is a sponsor they will only accept Visa (especially when I'd don't have Visa only Mastercard or Maestro!!) Don't really want another card but looks as if I'm going to have to get one
