Sue - I didn't realise you had Tamborito. I remember him as a youngster - lordy I feel old now. Mind you, Harry is 25 this year which is scary. [/right]
Hi Ester, Yes he has owned me since he was 4yrs old. We have had our ups and downs over those years I can tell you! |

My friend Susanna now owns Amoroso del Salvadora for her Spanish breeding program. She bought my straight Spanish mare, Lavina, a few years ago and I am sure she will be put in foal to Sal this year. Lavina is CA N/N which is great as there is a lot of CA in Spanish lines. Sal is also CA N/N, he was tested before she bought him. The first photo is of Lavina with her colt by Crusader who is now a 16 hands snow white stallion, Spanish Crusaer. The second photo is of her with her filly by Arastin while on loan to my friend Paulette, thanks for the photo Paulette, and the third of her after a roll in the field; they manage to find mud even in the summer!!!

Not sure how to edit my post. The stallion is Spanish Crusader (missed the "D" out), he is a true golden cross, SE stallion over a straight Spanish msre and is 12 this year. He is my "baby" and I love him to bits. I have had several requests to stand him at stud but resisted so far. However, he will be covering a welsh cob (I know!) this year who belongs to a friend as has had 2 previous foals.
A few more photos of my "baby", Spanish Crusader, Sultan to his friends.

I was lucky enough to own and care for one of the UK's most influential Straight Spanish mares Hagunia. Infact last years British National Champion Stallion FS Ronaldo is her great, great grandson !! We had 13 fantastic years with her. She was a very private mare and if she like you, my goodness, you were privledged !!

I didn't know you had Hagunia, Delyth, did you have any straight Spanish offspring from her?

When we bought her from El Challon we also bought her Straight Spanish daughter Challon Hagita who I think was by Isonomy. She was a lovely filly. Haggi came in foal to the Spanish stallion Brian Blake had in for a while (name escapes me) and she had a colt Hacinador who went to Silverdale. She did produce long so we bred her to very short backed horses and perhaps her most successful daughter bred here was Halina Shaklana by the Autralian import Kerrilyn Ibn Amir, an Amir El Shaklan son. She became a superb broodmare for Georgian Arabians and their budding young stallion the amazing SG Imagine is Haggi's great grandson !! |

Hagunia was a fabulous mare, and I just love her stable name |

Hagunia Rocks!
I once did a "family tree" of her decendants and their acheivements - must find it! (although it is years out of date now - if only i had the time to reasearch and bring it upto date)
She was of course the founder of the "H" line for the Maxwells.
We have her 22 year old daughter here by Maliek el Kheil.
Edited to add all the photos in my signiture stip are Haggi grandchildren. (correction - the second one is her daughter Havannah) |

Really the Maleik El Kheil cross was the one best suited to her shortness of back etc. Like Jayne says the 'H' family of Lodge farm through Hashemiya (Cala Dor) produced such success show mares and exceptional brood mares as Heloua, Hazika, Halleluja and of course the son Hejaz. It's a shame she didn't ever get to meet Borneo I wonder if she could have produced a superstar Straight Spanish :)) |
