So, I've bought some mega-tek to try to rescue my boys mane
it gives contradictory instructions on the bottle to either live it on or wash it off..
what has everyone done who have used it? I dont want any nasty reactions!
Thanks,
susie

I washed Lily's mane and tail with Vosene (she'd been itchily removing them), and rinsed thoroughly. I tried leaving the Megatek in the first time - she seemed to get itchy again quite quickly. After that I rinsed it out, but not as thoroughly as I would if I was trying to get it all out (does that make sense?!!) with warm water used throughout. That seemed to work a lot better. Her mane is now a uniform 4 inches long - looks like I've pulled it, but an awful lot better thqn the 90% hogged look that she was obviously trying to achieve! - It's a teenage thing - she's going through a punk phase! |

I used this over the winter, and Zars mane has grown about 4" in 6 months, but it hasn't rubbed out again this year with his neck rug. I watered mine down, in a spray bottle and used to use it like mane and tail detangler, and leave it in. Although I have since been advised by an old horsey friend that its probably the coconut oil in it that stimulates the growth. Maga-tek does smell lush though :) |

I would say she has achieved 4 inches since October. |

bought some a while a ago , watering it down is a good idea. I left mine in as it's been so cold. No reaction as yet, and yes how lush is that smell.

Sorry if I misled you, I meant 4" in about 3 and a half months, so I think it does help. |
