please can i have your honest opinions on my boys neck.
he hasnt been shown for 3years (due to injury), so i have let him go :/ . and i plan to show him this year doing c shows (hopefully). he is ridden out schooled atleast 4times a week, where he rounds off so lovely. i feed him out of a hanging bucket on his stable door and his haynet is hung at a level so he is "useing his neck" when eating. he was fed spillers condistioning cubes but felt he would benift from dodson and horrel build up (which he loves).
he has gone from no topline and sticky neck to nicely arched but i still think it needs improving.
in the summer
since being back in work (january)
anything else i can to improve his neck? what about neck sweats?
He looks smashing, especially for his age. I'd say he looks about right for showing Really it's about how he feels too - he shoudl feel firm when you place your hand on large muscle areas - given he should be reasonably fit and supple he should pass the 'pat test' without a woddle You could slicker him a day or 2 prior to a show - it just helps everything appear sharper as it lays the mane and the warmth encourages a nice sheen. Look forward to party pics - he looks lovely!

He looks fab and I dont think you have anything to worry about. He looks much younger than his age.
Using a small amount of Spillers Topline coincided with my Jazz's first tying up episode so I am nervous about any conditioning feed now. I would rather build neck muscle up from correct exercise.
thanks :) i am really nervious about this years showing and if hes right. yeah i am going to invest in a neck sweat, and he has only been in work 8weeks so doing pretty good so far i hope :D no i didnt really like feeding the con cubes but as you proberly saaw from the 1st piccy he was a little ribby from not having work. but now he is on build up i think its better for musscle build up.
