does anyone in the West Yorkshire area know of anyone who may have hay for sale??
(Please don't die laughing!! I know it's in short supply)

It's supposed to be provided in with the cost of our livery, but our YO didn't make enough this year, and we're down to our last couple of bales (and he bought some more in, but not enough! . He had two cuts of haylage, but more folk are using hay.

All the YO can say is that when the hay runs out we will have to use the haylage, like it or not.
Several of us can't, for various reasons (laminitis, gives some the runs etc etc, but he doesn't want to know)

What we have left will last about a week - I desperately need to find some, or I'm looking at having to feed a hay replacer, which will cost a fortune.
I really can't risk the haylage, my mare has just recovered from laminitis and has been diagnosed with IR, so even her hay has to be soaked.

Can anyone help??

If you an no alternative then you can soak hayledge. Use fresh water every time and rinse the net after soaking.

Poor you it is a bit sort notice to be getting feed. I must say I personally prefer hay than haylage but I do use both and it would be nice if the ones on the yard who don't need to feed the hay fed haylage so the ones that need the hay are not going with out when they themselves can happily switch on to the haylage with no worries.
