Found this on Aklah Arabians website (googled Kar Hacina)
SHAMIL’s dam is the excellent Spanish mare KAR HACINA, a daughter of the exceptional sire EL PERFECTO, she gained Championship honours at the shows Moos, Germany and Marbach, Germany, won her class at the European Championships, and achieved a third place at the All Nations Cup in Aachen, Germany. KAR HACINA is the image of her dam, the Nations Cup reserve and international mare GUAL HASSIKA, one of the most beautiful mares ever to leave Spain.
There is a photo of her on this website, but there are a lot of hits for her, one says that she is owned by a farm in Dubai, and her full sister was sold to South Africa.

Hi, she was bred by my friend and INTL `a` list judge DR Niko Jung in Germany. I remember her well, very beautful and great mover. She had a foal by my stallion Jazzmeen then I do believe she was sold to the Middle East. I will ask Dr Jung later today for more info. |

Hi Justine,
Many thanks for this, anything else you can find out ie where she is now etc or any other foals she has had would be great, any pics would be fab too! I understand that my boy was imported as a foal from Germany so that would make sense.
Thanks, Sarah |

I know Shamil very well as he stayed with me for a few months in 2009. He's a sweetie. Hope you enjoy him. |

According to the darasource SHAMIL was exported to the UK from Germany as a yearling in 2001 and was bred by RUDI AND CHRISTEL KRAUS. Unfortunately it only shows one foal sired by him AKLAH FANTASIA born in 2005.
You have most of the information on SHAMIL´s dam already. KAR Hacina is in Dubai and has recently won the Championship Mare Class. You will find pics of her and many of her relatives at my flickr website on Spanish Arabians: http://www.flickr.com/photos/szedlisa/sets/72157601885575419/with/822844937/
There is also listed produce at Niko´s pdf doc on Gual Hassika which includes all her progeny´s whereabouts and get. http://www.kar-hof.eu/resources/Gual_Hassika.pdf
I owned Gual Hassika´s dam and sire and having bred Pepete to Adelfa, I sold Adelfa to Maria Teresa Gual in foal shortly before she foaled down. I was moving back to the states from Spain and Adelfa had tested positive for Piro and there was no way we could get her cleared. We did have a yearling clear full sister which we did export. Gual Hassika went on as you know to have a glorious show and broodmare career.
It has been an excellent dam line, continually producing quality stock both for ridden events and breeding.
Enjoy your gelding Shamil. He is quite striking! Lisa |

Thankyou all for the info (particularly szedlisa for the links)and comments, as you say Loosefur he is an absolute sweetie with quite a character, he has only been with me a few weeks but has settled well and we are having fun with him.
I shall delve a little further with this info, but from the pics I can see where he gets his huge eyes from!
Am hoping to get him out again under saddle this year with possibly a little in-hand so very much looking forward to the start of the season.
