I think the last time Rosie was jumping indoors was 16 years ago when she was 4 and I was competing with her! Chelle took her out today - Michelles first time indoors.
The first class, Michelle had a rare refusal but she was adult enough to admit it was rider error -she'd taken a bad line (we're all human & can make a mistake).
Anyway the next class, 95 cm, she certainly redeemed herself. Went clear in the first round then the course builder really upped the jumps in the jump-off as they decided to cancel the 'Open'.
OMG the jumps were HUGE!!!
I told Michelle to get her in a nice bouncy canter, plenty of leg on, but NOT to go against the clock - just aim for a clear round.
Inwardly, I was thinking 'these jumps are too huge & Rosie will not get around' - ye of little faith!! Anyway she was one of only 2 riders to go clear and ended up 2nd place!!! Well done Chelle & Rosie!
Sorry I didn't get any photos of them jumping - I don't take photos when shes in a competition.
