Due to a lack of entries the Eastern Arabian Group Committee have had to make the decision to cancel the Autumn show which was due to be held at Easton College on 24 October. However we will be holding a ridden clinic instead for which the details will appear on Arabian Lines in the next couple of days via a banner. All entries and cheques are being returned to entrants and members along with a covering letter regarding the clinic. The clinic is not a traditional clinic, but one 'with a difference'! We are fortunate enough to have Fiona Grant Chivers bringing her British National Champion ZA Karis Ibn Azal and Dave and Jean Peck are bringing their US National Sports Horse Champion Dervatiw Gwyddion; Fiona will be giving an insight into what makes a good ridden horse an there will be an opportunity for participants to experience this ride for themselves on these two elite horses. For more info please see the banner we have running on AL, or PM me for more details. Places are limited and MUST be booked in advance. Tanya
We have had a really good response to the clinic this coming Sunday, and are pleased to say that the participant spaces are now all filled. Thanks for your interest, we hope to hold more clinics soon so do keep checking our website.
Just like to thank Tanya and all the committee of the Eastern Arabian Group for putting on such an innovative, informative and thoroughly enjoyable ridden clinic last Sunday at Easton College. There were certainly some super young riders who had a wonderful opportunity to ride two brilliant show horses, ZA Karis Ibn Azal and Dervatiw Gwyddion under the expert guidance of Fiona and Jean. Neither horse was fazed by what must have been 20 different riders on them during the morning, proving what wonderful temperaments Arabs have if treated with kindness and properly trained and ridden. Definately something to be repeated and look forward to again hopefully during the coming long winter! Congratulations to everyone who took part. Wish I was younger and fitter. Paulette
