I have a rose-ish grey arab and I have just discovered that you have to have a colour browband for ridden showing.. just wondered what colour people thought would suit the little man :)
Hello - No you do not have to have a coloured browband to show a leather one is fine - it depends on your preference. I show my stallion in a stitched leather browband but my chestnut mare has a coloured browband. Colour - again your preference but try and have something that matches your horse and doesnt stand out like a beacon - you are showing the horse not the browband! A fairly safe bet is a red, white and blue - but even these three colours come in many differnt styles so it is up to you. Good luck!
You don't 'have to have' a coloured browband for ridden Showing, in fact the correct turnout for a purebred is a plain browband. Saying that you are seeing more & more pretty browbands on purebreds these days
Blue suits most greys teamed with either yellow, gold, green, red ~ if he was a mare I suggest blue & pink
Your choice at the end of the day, try & team it up with your jacket.
I show my PBA rose grey in a navy blue, green and gold browband. i think it looks great on her and not too OTT. My chestnut riding pont will be in blue and silver or green as still trying to find a greena nd yellow one that apparently looks good.
