oh thank you so much for your kind words of comfort , for the many phone calls from personal friends and all the kindness from my syber friends , I will remember Shani for all the wonderful moments she gave me and all the love she shared with me , she shared her babies willingly knowing I would love them as she did and I can tell you that all four of her babies have safe and happy homes and are loved here are her pictures of her as a baby , her as a mother and her with her family, sadly I never had a picture taken with her , at least I dont think I did

Lynda, What wonderful pictures of your special girl - I especially love the one of her laying down with her brand new baby; what an expression of love and contentment.

Beautiful girl. I have just been reading about her and It's brought tears to my eyes. You have had to make, what I think, is one of the hardest decisions ever. You did it with such love and that's what counts. I am really sorry for your loss and I know words only bring small comfort right now but I know you will be remembering all the moments you shared and they will make you smile.
Hugs to you. Xxx |

So sorry to read of the loss of your much loved mare. I remember when you planned her breeding and took 'a chance' on WSA Charisma (!) You were justifiably so thrilled with the result. Shantu had 15 wonderful years with you and no animal can ask for more than that. Part of love is sorrow

RIP beautiful girl xxx
It does get easier Lynda just give it time and remember all the good times you had with her and then in time you will remember the naughty times you had with her and laugh.

A beautiful heritage. (Your photo of mare and foal reminds me of The Arab Tent by Sir Edwin Landseer.) |

What a beautiful mare! It is so hard when we lose our friends, I recently had my 27yr old pts and I understand your grief. Take comfort from your others and treasure the memories of her.
Big hugs, Lindsay x |
