We bought our first Arab Filly from Mr Banks. She was Safella by K of K out of Safire who was by Safari out of Sahmoh. These last two appear in your mare's pedigree. When we bought Safella Mr Banks had a filly who came from Jhabat's line but she was definitely NOT for sale as her bloodlines were too precious. If you check the pedigree you will find that there is almost certainly no Rissalix blood as Mr Banks did not like Rissalix. This makes her a very rare bird for Old English Arabs.
Mr Banks ran the Jermy Arabian Stud and was based near Epping in Essex. Your mare is very similar to Safella's first daughter Kyshaiah who was by Romac.
I am sure she will reward you for saving her. You are very lucky to have her.
Massive improvement, says so much about your TLC. Have you worked out her Crabbet%? If she is over 75%, being bay, if she is young enough to be a mum you could have bought a girl who is quite precious.
Thankyou all so much for your lovely comments. I really haven't done anything special she just got fed wormwd the usual stuff and grass. But I can tell you she knows!! When all the others finish their feeds she stays with me till I leave!
Wow I have always wanted to know her history! Thankyou so much. Are these people still about I'd love to contact them to find out if she has ever been bred before. She us rising 21 but would loan her out for someone to use if I knew she had a foal before as she is so special to those lines! But if she hasn't 21 is too old isn't it?
Wow! I am sat with tears in my eyes, how moving. She looks stunning. I am glad there are good people like you in this sometimes horrible world. We did the same for our girl (although she was not going to the meat man), she had had malnutrition before we bought her from a dealer. It is definitely beyond me how people can be so cruel to these beautiful equines.
I got some good news got a reply from someone on another forum and they have given me their phone number as they know her! They are going to let me know the missing info on her! I might find out if she was ridden or had a foal before!
I agree with Montikka. Her eyes say it all, a window to her souland a record of her transformation. You must be very proud of yourself and Tanisha for responding to your care.
