Hi Annette -
Just wondered how on earth you work these percentages out ? I have a booklet which tells you how to do it, but it still takes me ages ! Is there a quicker way ? |

Hi Eve, I have just had a quick look at your girl, and think she is approx 98.56% Crabbet blood. More tha enough for Crabbet classes
Jane, no I have never found a quick way yet! I research the horses mostly through Allbreeds which is the easiest way as you can easily go back through the pedigree and see all the ancestors. Some of the horses already have their Crabbet percentages worked out, which makes life a lot easier. Other than that, I can now recognise the majority of the original Crabbet horses and if necessary work forwards from these. BUT, it can be very time consuming with some horses who only have a small % way back in their pedigree. Eve's Nakyta was a relatively quick and easy one |

Hi Annette. Could I be very cheeky and ask you to work out mine too? Here is a link to his pedigree www.allbreedpedigree.com/saahm His mother is showing 93.75% Crabbet so I would be interested to see if we qualify for Crabbet Classes Thank you in advance

Loopyloo, by my reckoning Saahm will be eligible for Crabbet classes as I have worked him out to be approx 77.43% Crabbet. Please get this verified though by the Crabbet Org. You will need verification from them anyway before you can enter Crabbet classes.
Casmin, your mare is around 62.51 Crabbet |

Hi Annette,
may I be very cheeky and ask you to take a look at my boy's pedigree-I know there is some crabbet in there but pretty sure there is nowhere near 75%-would be really interested to know exactly anyway!
