After a long wait for us one of our mares finally gave birth at 01:58 this morning to a beautiful filly (of course im biased!) She is out of Atinska Show Girl who we have on loan from Dave and Margo Watkins by my other half (Jo's) stallion Jacobi (Kasadi x Kashala). This is Jacobi's first foal and to say we are over the moon would be an understatement!
We arent sure of colour at the momment as she has a very light tail but a red chestnut mane, her legs are quite biscuity colour so may go palomino will just have to wait and see. Here are a couple of pictures not great as was taken off the phone and as she was over two weeks late she does not want to stand still long enough to take a good picture. Will get some more when she is out and about. No names yet but as its Easter sunday she will probably end up with something relevant! Leaning towards calling her Bunny as a stable name!
Still cant get much sleep as waiting for my own mare to foal who is also over two weeks overdue! But we will have a couple of drinks to celebrate tonight
Its hard work being beautiful!

She's gorgeous - whatever colour she ends up. I love the ears and the stripe. A very pretty face.
Cant wait to see what number 2 is like. |

Thought id put the new pictures of our two girls onto one thread. We are very pleased with how our girls are developing, both are very nosey and our chestnut girl is running her mother ragged and wants to go explore rather then doing as she is told and staying still! She has been named Cheeky as she really is! Still arguing over names for Gems pally foal so will see who wins that and will let you know what we decide soon. Anyway here are pictures of them out on our back yard meeting our other horses and having a good charge about. Be warned it is a bit of a photo overload!

Theo and Jo - they are both fab. Really pretty faces and they both look full of character - especially the little chestnut one. Her name is very apt!
Thanks for sharing |

Thankyou all for your kind comments.
Cheeky has definately lived up to her stable name, after running mum ragged, she has turned to leading Gem's baby astray! While Hazel has given up chasing them about and is happily settling down to some grazing!
Cant wait til partytime!
