Really sad news to hear Odin has passed . Being the breeder I would just like to add that Suzanne fell for Odin as a yealing . He couldn't have found a better partnership & loving owner . 19 yrs old and still I'm told looking a picture . A real credit to you Suzanne and I just would like to say a big thankyou for not letting him suffer and letting him go with dignity . Hurts I know but I'm sure you did the right thing.

Suzanne you and Odin were one of the first partnerships I got to know and admire when I first came on to Arabian Lines years ago. With so much going on in our lives we don't always keep a track on some of the original, 'heart' members of AL. Now you have come back to us with this devastating news.
I can only imagine how much Odin has meant to you and what it does to you to have to part with him. I can imagine your pain and it grieves me too...
Cherish all those wonderful times with him and accept my deep condolences. RIP Odin. |

Dear Suzanne I am so sorry. It probably doesnt seem like it now but what people are saying is right, time does heal. Even tho you probably feel now that you dont want it to - it will. My heart was broken last April when I lost my beloved Freddie and I spent most of last year broken, lost and very lonely. There were times when I thought I would never mend but I have turned a corner and at last I am getting back together. Not a day passes when I dont think of him, often still with tears but the pain is easing.
Take good care of you and your son, take each day as it comes and have faith that Odin God bless him will see you through this.
lots of love Sandie |

i just wanted to say thank you to everyone for the messages, pm's and emails with your lovely words and thoughts!
it's such a massive void that he's left and i'm finding myself at a loss. i've lost all my old mares over the last four years and now odin too. it's hard to deal with but on the other side of that i couldn't put him through more treatment for my benefit just to keep him here with me. he gave me so much and never once in his life kicked out or bit on purpose. even when in pain he barely complained and he looked after everyone everytime he was ridden. i could never have asked for a better horse!
thank you all once again!!

Oh Suzanne. I'm so sorry. I had hoped that when I didn't hear from you for a while, no news was good news.
I've only just read this (I've been in Central America for nearly 2 weeks, but something made me log on today). Am now sat here with tears in my eyes. I'm so sorry things are hard for you, in so many ways....
Odin was a stunner - I remember the first time I came across your website and saw the photo of him with his head over the stable door. I copied it and emailed it to my mum, as he was so beautiful. I am so proud to be the owner of his gorgeous son. Jack is a credit to both Odin and you, and when you feel up to it, please come and see us.
Hugs to you, can can you PM me your number please, I lost all the ones in my phone.
RIP Odin - the world is a less beautiful place now. xxx |

So deeply sorry to hear of your loss. It sounds as though you had a wonderful time with your horse and I hope that your memories will eventually be able to bring a smile to your face and be a comfort to you. He is free, running with the Angels, until the time comes for you to meet again. xxx |
