1908 Malvern Newpaper..In the polo pony class,
Mr Oscar Muntz was first with Cloth of Gold, shown by Captain G A Weir (brother of Dr Weir of Malvern Link).

Found a mare called Cloth of Gold in GSB Vol 30 p.137.

She was chestnut born 1940
by Gold Bridge (Import)
ex Palotta by Clarion

Says; "was barren in 1944, covered in that year byChulmleigh and sent to Argentina."

Could this be your mare? A lot later than 1908 but I thought the Argentina link was inreresting.

Good Try Melynda, but I think the gap between 1908 and 1940 might just mean its a long shot..another Clarion in there too. I did wonder if this one wasa related to Gownboy..(only because of the name). Just off to search me books.
