I have a rising 4 year old filly that I ought to take out and about if I can and would be interested depending on where it would be - we are near Saffron Walden. I still haven't mastered trailer loading and would have to hire transport, but the general interest is there. Would it be a v posh affair? We are total novices and half the time she is missing some mane from her mutual grooming/flirting with the boys next door, so if it is too high class for us then we probably would be best looking at something more local. I would attend an AHS-affiliated show in Essex! I plan to only do a few shows with my yearling (just listen to me - he's still with his breeder & not weaned yet)! I plan to do a really local show (Rayleigh & District) as it's only a mile or so from me, HoCoN, South-East Regional group....and would do another if it didn't clash with those two C Shows.

Hi Alistair please don't ignore me on this one, Malcolm and trina gemmil (who are heavily involved with the organising of this show) are more than welcome to come and chat to their neighbours about it they have 2 instant entries there and i'm sure the woods, robyn and many others will support the show 100%. We unfortunateley lost clottergate as you know so this would be very welcome,we would also be happy to offer some sponsorship. Would they run the classes as affiliated? |

The lady who is backing Kristal and rides Lalique for me has come under the Arab spell and also works with others in the area so has an interest in getting both ridden and in hand going again at this show so i volunteered to post and assess interest and report tomorrow. Any help would be welcome ,particularly as they are not experiemced in Arabs . Basically you have a chance to put on a stunnerif we all work together. |

Would be lovely to have show in that area as not too far for us in East Sussex.
If they could have ridden classes split by sex that would be great.
Thanks |

I would also attend if this show were to take place.
I think sex split youngstock classes would be a great idea. So even if they feel they want to do 1,2,& 3 yr old classes if they are unsure of entry numbers; don't lump colts, fillies and geldings together - I think more people would enter these type of classes if this were the case all round. Or maybe that's just me. |

Alistair you and I have spoken about this and if they need help then I'm willing
The key of course to success if the judges they choose
Subject to the agreement of the other committee members HoCoN would happily offer some sponsorship with the proviso that appropriate arab jusges are chosen.
I would probably enter but again depends on who is judging and if we have something ready at the time

Where in Essex would the show be held. I am in Suffolk and know several people who would probably be interested if it was not too far. A gelding I sold was shown under saddle a couple of times this year and Sharon might be interested in taking him.

The show takes place over a week end in May at Writtle near Chelmsford and attracts 100,000 people . Widely supported by thee county newspaper and local radio .
There could also be a chance of an ARAB costume display in the centre arena before a huge audience if one had the support. As a first attempt at putting on Arabs it has to be simple and enjoyable for the organisers then when they have a good reaction they might consider a more ambitious range of classes . Ideas please and volunteers to help get it off the ground Thanks |

I would be very interested in sponsorship of some classes and helping at the show. Living in the USA I wouldn't bring horses with me but would arrange a visit with my parents who live in Great Dunmow, Essex to coincide with the show. |
