Hi Hope someone can help! I have an arab, but due to the circumstances when she was purchased, there are no documents showing her pedigree/bloodlines. I've heard that a hair sample can be sent away for testing from which I could then find out the mare's bloodlines. Can this be done? If so, has anyone any idea who I could contact? Thanks for any help.
I am not sure if it would be possible to find the parents if you have absolutely no idea who they are (although with computers it may be possible). Can you not contact her previous owners and see if they can help?
Mistral was bought from a livestock market in Truro in 2005 as she was the subject of a bankrupcy order which is why there are no records of her previous owners.
Mistral (Millie) is a 14.2hh 13 year old chestnut arab mare. She has a white blaze and 3 white socks. There is a crack from the coronary band down the hoof on her near hind due to an old injury. She has a lovely temperament and is very easy to handle.
Someone, somewhere, has in the past spent alot of time and effort on this mare.
If anyone recognises her, please let me know as I'd love to know her history.
