Does anyone knows the breeding of the stallion Merticia Prince of Tralee? He was dam sire of a coloured pony mare( palomino/white) my arab stallion Amaaly covered late this season?
the mare was only registed in Coloured Horse and Pony Soc (uk) and not as PBA even if her sire was a pure bred arab.

Hi Pelle, Tralee is a place in Ireland. The stallions name is spelt MERTRICIA Prince of Tralee(1970) and he is registered Part Bred Arab.Vol X, page 40, I have this PBAR, so can confirm. His dam The Maid of Tralee is PBAR Vo.V. and he is by ROYAL DRIFT AHSB Vol X.
Miss M. P. Tufnell, must be the stud/breeder as she has two/three others registered in the PBAR Vo.X. from 1969 & 1970.
Mertricia Countess of Tralee (1969) Grey. also bred by Miss M.P.Tufnell, was out of the same dam The Maid of Tralee,(and by SEABREEZE PBAR Vol VI.) so related to the stallion.
Cheers Sue.

I used to own a full brother and sister both by Prince bred by Mrs Tufnell under the Curdridge affix, they were both Palomino.
I saw Prince a couple of times, he was a nice sort, chestnut and I'd be surprised if he was any more than 13 hands, but his offspring all seemed to turn out much bigger than him.

I'll see what I've got, but it may take a couple of days and I'll have to scan them as it was before we all had digital cameras
