He was born in 1979 bred by the Hedley's. 1981 was imported to the US by a group of people including Randall Fields and then lived in relative obscurity until he was re-discovered in 1998. He's now breeding some of the finest straight Spanish mares in the country. Gorgeous pictures on the website.

I'm not sure as this pic looks dark bay and Zaon was black - I think !! If so he was out of Onza the lovely Garbo daughter who was originally imported by our very own Major & Annette Hedley :) If not I'm just rambling !!!
