I remember the sunglasses!
OK NH racing now. Who is the only horse to have won both the Champion hurdle and the Gold Cup at Cheltenham?
Off to bed now, don't want to be late in Court! |

It certainly was! A super super mare who tragically died of a heart attack at the height of her career

She lost her life falling in the French Champion hurdle - only a little while after her Gold Cup triumph - such a shame ... would have been interesting to see what she could have produced but sadly not to be. I know Wikipedia says she had a heart attack but Jonjo O'Neil (although he wasn't riding her in France) says she broke her neck in the fall. |

Sorry for delay, this snow slows everything doesn't it, brain included! Who was the mother of the Pullein Thompson sisters who wrote the pony books I, and many others of you I'm sure, read as a child? |

Joanna Cannan. I used to really enjoy their books! Especially Christine's ones about the youngsters who started up their own hunt and Josephine's "Show jumping Secret" - in fact I still have my copy of that = my piano teacher gave me that for learning to play a particular piece well! |

Well done, that was quick! Great books, I liked Monica Edwards too, still have one or two of hers around, happy memories of curling up by the fire on long winter evenings and pretending to be one of those lucky children in the stories! Your turn.. |

Hippocampus? The creature that pulled Poseidon's chariot was half-horse, half-fish. |

Back to racing!
Sneaking in two related questions: 1) What was the name of the horse that was cleared of doping charges after its owner/breeder took the case to court, but not before removing all his horses from training in the UK?
2) What was the race that this happened in? |

Nope, sorry! Looks like this one is a bit tricky, so I'll give a clue:
It's in Flat racing. |

Ok, clue number two: It's to do with a three year old filly, in flat racing, in the 1980s.
Go on, someone have another guess! |
