Where is the venue for this one this year? Might see if I have time to go down and watch/help/hinder! |

Leaving you Mark Hollands info, which includes the new venue and cp info.
Ride is on OS Landranger map 162 (and OL 14). Grid ref of venue SO 5025 0405. Postcode of Trellech Surgery (nearest village) is NP25 4PE, 'Endurance GB' signs from there and description in Riders Information. If looking at a map to get an idea of route. New venue is at Cicelyford, CP 1 at Bargain Wood, South Loop (not NCR) Barbadoes Green and Hill, Chapel Hill, Ravensnest Wood, CP 2, Tintern Cross, Hale Woods, The Oaks, Botany Bay, Ninewells, CP 1. For all classes - from CP 1 to Cleddon, Cuckoo Wood, Pen-y-Fan, Maryland, Trelleck Common, New Mills, Whitebrook, CP 3, bank of River Wye, Hael Woods, New Mills (48 km repeat from New Mills), Trelleck Hill, Vicar's Allotment, Beacon Hill, Cotland, Broad Meend and back to new venue. It does have an overall elevation change of 300 metres but this is over a long distance - no killer hills. Also, no founderous mud (one 20 metre length of shallow mud but may be dried out) and no long sections with steps, ruts, etc. The NCR has a good surface. The views in many places are spectacular, and the surface and surroundings are varied. We still have room for more entries.

Wish I could compete this year, I love the Tintern ride, although Ash loved it a bit too much..... She was conceived at the old venue (she's by Bonanza) and both years I took her to that ride, that was the only ride she really played up at. Totally hyper at the vetting, and racing round the ride as if it was a sprint!
ETA: Why has the venue changed this year?
