After discovering a whole load of photos at my Aunt's house the other week, I thought I'd share a few of them with you.
Hope you enjoy.
All showing photo's are taken by Peter & Marilyn Sweet.

Sorry can't remember all names, but from left to right: A Fazleta filly, Indiana Jones, G Baryshnia, a Baiadera (spelling) colt, can't see who is far right.

Not sure who is showing Faery Rose? Or Prononce (Robin Carr?)

Can someone help, I've checked and I can't work out what I have done wrong? I did a test with my ridden mare earlier and that worked fine, but I can't even get one photo up in the test area again now. :-(

HI Emma, Looking forward to seeing the Omel Shiva Estopa one especially. I checked the properties on your downloads and it seems they are only on at 28x30 pixels which is about the size of your little finger nail. Go back to your web hosting site and bring up the large versions then take the URL from those properties. I aint 100 percent sure but I think this could be your problem.??? Dean |

What lovely 'proper' horses. And how much better do they look stood up insted of stretched out? You can see and appreciate their beauty rather than be put off by how on the leg they look or how fragile. i would love to see todays top horses stood up and pictures put next to the stretched ones. i think they would look like different horses, and in a good way |

Emma - shame on you !!! Showing Pronounce is Paul Atkinson !!
Carol Plaistowe is showing Faery Rose. She and her husband Alan owned her and then went to work for Gucci for a short while.
Great photo's. |

Wow fantastic pics!
How is Faery Rose bred? She is the image of my mare Kerridwen, practically identical markings and colouring. |

I always remember the first time I saw Carmargue , he was laying down surrounded by young grooms adoring him and he was lapping it up I was so entranced by this beautiful stallion as gentle as a lamb, and that picture stayed with me , indeeed shaped my whole breeding programme I wonder if any of you that worked there were the grooms sitting on the floor with him that day? |

Fab pictures Emma, thank you. I will put up a couple of Andrus in maturity (RIP Andrus!) and Lalique, and Lance when he was a baby a year or two after he came up here from the sale.
Is Tina Watts the Tina who has Pristina?? We had lots of contact at one point - she was so nice, a great character with lots of good common sense horse-wise. |

Thanks for the memories Em, a lovely young Baryshnia and a very versatile Barif, he was a favourite of mine I remember him being at High Tor for a while, when I think of the show jumping at Malvern I always think when Millfield used to sponsor it.
Its like spot the handler with the horse - I think its Emma Maxwell with Distancia and is it Rene Tromp with Andrus or have I got that completely wrong, Seamus is with Estasha Bint Masri and Mike Ash is hiding behind Vodi
Em, cant wait till you have time to find some more and put them up |

Yeh Tina Watts (now Linington) did have Pristina, she was sold a long time ago tho' Tina has Thoroughbred horses now.
Tina I'm pretty certain it was Seamus on the end of Distancia's lead at Wales & West.
It may actutally be Raymond Fox with Vodi, if not it would be Mike Ashmore.
Barif was one of my favorite boys, along with Top & Vibrator & El Saleem.
I wanted to showjump Top but he always put in a dirty stop at the 2nd part of a double at home! lol so I took Barif out instead, we went to Bicton, Wessex & Malvern, he won at Bicton & was 2nd with one fence pole down in the jump-off at Wessex, I got all excited by the time the nationals came around that season, I entered him for the biggest class they had and he stopped at the wall! (now this wall, grey with ghost pictures on the turret/wings was Gucci's jumps so he had jumped it at home enough times) he would not go over it and we got eliminated. I cried for a week when Barif went down to Devon on loan!
All the other pictures I have are just in fields, stables or on the walker. I don't think I have any more showing ones, unless they are at my parents. |

Faery Rose was a Silver Scenario daughter I think ?? Not typical looking for this sire really ??
My favourite and Gucci's will always be Ansata Aya Halima.....it was criminal that this mare was never bred to a SE. Perhaps one of the greatest mares of the breed totally wasted. Sorry rant over - that was my SE breeders head talking. I'm off to chunter to myself about it all over again !!! |

It'd still be nice to see the 'at home' pics Emma!
Someone did put some pix of the sale day on here about a year ago and everyone was 'spotting' themselves and others in the crowd. |
