Here is my most embarrassed Arab mare Manon Bint Tarim - wearing this years "Must Have" nose gear....to protect her VERY large , VERY PINK nose from the sun!!!
So far I'm impressed - it has protected her pink nose from the sun (she hated me putting on sun cream - I ended up with more on me than her!). It has also resisted young Charlie trying to remove it!! The headcollar is a Horseware field safe one (has a velcro break point) - its lush & padded & so far hasn't rubbed - its on 24/7. The mask us a Equilibrium Muzzel Protector - full size to fit her big nose!
Thought this might be of interest to those of you with pink nosed Arabs!!!!

Been using same type of noseshield on my pink nosed arab for 2 summers, no sunburn and it beats trying to get sunblock on the nose every time the sun is shining. |

Yep they're excellent. Mum uses one on Sharma (well, it's integrated with a fly mask as he suffer badly after having his 3rd eyelid removed following a tumour a couple of years ago) and it works really well. |

Yep, have 3 on my lot!! She looks to have a similar sized pink nose as my mare! The only thing I did is cut it back a tiny bit, so it didn't irritate her too much or get in the way when eating. They do beat the sun cream though, because I don't know about anyone else, but I can't get back "every 4 hours to reapply generously"!!! |

shes looking less than impressed. i apply suncrea at the min but its either a 12 hour long one or a tanning lotion which turns her nose peach but then doesn't burn. |
