I have a cluster of about 20 tiny blister like things on the meaty thumb part of my palm. Each blister is as small or smaller than a pin head. They are intensely itchy. The only thing that stops the itch (instantly) is to pop each blister with a pin, when a tiny amount of clear fluid comes out. When the blister things itch, I really mean they itch and I end up chewing on my palm with my teeth.

Last year I got them occasionally on the soles of my feet, again the only way to stop the itch was to pop with a pin.

They really aren't like normal blisters, they go inwards rather than outwards and aren't where there is friction.

Doesn't seem a big enough deal to bother the GP with.

Any idea what they might be?

I've had it on my feet, both of them, always on the fleshy parts, never on heel or sole, ie, had them in the arch area and to the sides of my feet. You're right they itch like mad and I always ended up popping them to ease the itch. I did ask the nurse when i went down for routine blood tests, she wasn't sure they were, but thought it was a virus type thing. Didn't bother going to see the doc, but not had them this year (yet).

I used to get them along the inside of my fingers. It wasn't until we changed the soaps at work that I realised it was an allergy. Soon disappeared when the new dispensers came Havn't had it since.....

Well found, Sherlock. So can be triggered by allergy, stress, seasonal changes etc etc.

I've had something similar Vera..itches like a B***H!!!!! Went to docs no idea what it was(but not hand, foot & mouth as I was clear on the oral front !)
She gave me 1% hydrocortisone told me to keep it clean & aired. Dries up eventually & goes all lovely n scaley! Mine does come back from time to time, but its in small localised areas so I live with it!

Sounds like eczema to me - when I had my first real flare up of it it took a very similiar form and the itch really does drive one insane - I used to pour near-boiling water over my hand as that would ease the itch (didn't do the poor hand much good though!) And when it wasn't all itchy it was oozy and bleedy and generally horrible.

Go to the GP and get cream or whatever. Mine did go though, in time - although I have been left with one permanent tiny blister in the middle of my palm but it doesn't itch, so I don't mind. But take heart: it does go away with treatment.

Hi Vera...

My OH has something that sounds VERY like what you are describing... and its not foot and mouth. (I think that is usually on the sole of the foot and plams).. Do you get it mainly when its hot? We believe it is an allergy. Craig started noticing it when we are away on holiday, then last week with the weather being hot, out they popped again!

Craig takes anti-histamine tablets and they seem to do the trick... worth a try. You can buy them over the counter.
