Its good to hear that he is a good sort of dealer, perhaps he intends to get her into good condition before selling her on. He will get more money that way. |

OMG it gets worse I thought money talks when your a dealer , i`ve heard that the foal she had last year died & shes in no fit state to be covered this summer ... So that means they aren`t going to get a foal out of her until shes 18 yrs old , i can`t understand why they are so intent on keeping her ?? |

My friend has looked in the field next to her and Montana is not there at the moment. She is going to keep a look out as she thinks they go somewhere else first straight from the sales. I do not know this man but I must repeat that I have seen these horses over several winters and they are never short of hay and look well. Last winter a couple arrived looking poor and were even rugged. However, they are usually heavier types and Montana would do well to find a home where she will be pampered before the winter. |

Jerry Beaman regularly sells horses at Melton market. I have never seen him bring in a horse in bad condition. |

Hi Sarah
Not sure if you remember me, I owned Montana from when she was a foal to around 1998, when due to unforseen circumstance I had no choice but to sell her. The people who bought her did promise me she would have a home for life, so obviously I am heartbroken to hear she was sold last week through a market in wales looking thin, dejected and very sad. I was told by someone who saw her there that she did have a foal at foot.
I have been in touch with auctioneers who were unable to give me any information, and Pauline was going to put an advert in the Llanbeddyr local paper to see if anyone had any news of her.
Both Pauline and I are deperate to find her, unfortunately neither of us has the facilities to keep her but we are more than happy to contribute if someone could buy her and sincerely promise they keep her for the rest of her life.
I have cried so many times since I heard the news last week and I do hope between us we can do something!

Hi Ali , Ofcourse i remember you ! OMG i`ve been wondering how to contact you , & i promise you she didn`t have a foal at foot , she was sold in the ring wearing tack & was ridden around the ring ! Fiona Livermore who has the Doylan stud also saw her being ridden & there was no foal ! There are are definately a couple of people who have told me they`d give her a good home for life ! Apparently the bloke who had her bought her & some Arab mares from Blackpool after seeing an ad for them in the Farmers Guardian ! This has really upset me aswell Ali & i`ve rung the auctioneers aswell ! I know you can`t possibly take her on but maybe because you are her X owner & Pauline`s her breeder he`d be more understanding & sell her XX |

This is so sad, I hope someone will manage to persuade the dealer to sell her to someone who will care for the poor mare for the rest of her life |

Oh poor little girl, if hes a dealer its more than likely she is not for sale until she is fat and round again and then commands a better price???? it makes me want to take her on, after hearing her terrible ordeal, the good thing is once she is looking good there is every chance she will get a good home as everyone loves a palomino they are beautiful |

Poor mare but its fantastic how you detectives have found her and not giving up
Odd that the dealer is not selling. Even in better condition and ridden, she's still 16 (bless her) - and not a dealer's favourite - the coloured cob you can sell unschooled for £4,500.
That other poor mare was pushed from sale to sale, perhaps we should keep an eye out in case Montana pops up somewhere else. |

Hi everyone
We are going to try our hardest to get Montana, but if anyone does see her either for sale or at a sale please please please buy her and I will get the money together to reimburse you the purchase price.
It seems many people would be able to offer her a home for the rest of her days with lots of love and care.
I will keep trying to buy her however long it takes!!

A week has almost gone by since this mare was in LLanybydder market, I did used to think that Jerry bought a lot of horses to go to the Crew slaughters, so I hope to goodness she has,nt gone that way, because it might already be too late if she has.. Has anyone been able to confirm that she went on Jerry's box and thats where she went ????? Might be interesting to hear what Bridle has to say, as she's on his doorstep...so to speak... Sue |

Hi Sarah
We don't actually know what her condition is at the moment. I just wish someone had contacted Pauline to tell her the mare was a t the sale. We would have gone and purchased her without a doubt, but unfortunately this is all in hindsight but we will do our hardest to get her into a home for the rest of her life.

Hi
If Montana has been moved on I have found that melton mowbray have a horse sale on Saturday 6 June.
As Mr Beaman does sell horses through this sale is anyone near to Melton? could they go and see if she has been entered.
I am going to e-mail the auctioneers to see if they can tell me if she is entered for the sale, but I think you can enter horses on the day aswell. |

I will keep trying to find out what has happened to her whether it be good or bad news. I must find out as I cannot rest until I know for sure what has happened.
