hi there, just a bit of advice needed! I have decided this year i would really like to do this ride and forgo a showing class! i did this ride a few years ago with my PBA and loved it! I wanted to take ramak but I am not a uptodate member of the EGB although i will rejoin again i am sure. I did want to record whatever results we achieve on the day somehow, am I correct in thinking that I can have a 'day' card to do this on.. feeling a bit rusty and need some guidance!help!

Don't quote me on it, as I'm not that hot on the membership rules, but:
if you want the result to 'count' then a) you need to do a CR rather than an NCR, b) Ramak needs to be registered and/or have a logbook and c) you can buy a 'try before you buy' ticket, but I'm sure the horse needs to be registered.
Hope that helps, and good luck! |

You can do a ride as a non member and on a non registered horse on a day ticket but it won't be taken into consideration if you later register the horse and get a log book. Go and enjoy it I bet Ramak will. |

Hi Sarah I have just put my entry in for the 32km CR. Would be nice to see you there. Apparently the entries are filling up fast according to the EGB website. The year before last I just paid day membership for the endurance rides I did to make sure we liked it before I signed up. It isnt on Spider's log book though as it was pre-log book if you know what I mean.
Nadia - are you riding or crewing?

Hi Julia - crewing this time and finding out what its all about really, my vet said i have to give it another couple of years before i take up endurance with louis as he's only just 5 and i need to save for something other than a showing saddle before i give it a bash on Erik - dont think anything could be more uncortable than 2 hours on a show saddle across country!!
Looking forward to seeing you all there |

I'm so jealous of you all, this must be one of the lovliest rides on the schedule in the south east - I loved cantering through the deer park with the deer all around us last year
Am off to a family wedding that day so can't even come help, probably a good thing as I'd be drooling too much otherwise |

Have fun guys! We're trying a 120km ER at the King's Forest the weekend before so Marygold will be having a well-earned rest. My crew is threatening to do the NCR with her horse so I may be there in a crewing capacity.... |

This was the first ride I did on Rimmy many years ago and loved every minute of it. It is the most picturesque of all the rides I did. The only drawbacks were that is was 93F and you cannot crew as often as one would like. A friend's husband and son cycled in with water etc.
Have a great time everyone. |

It depends entirely on Mum. The NCR is 32km (I think!) which for her horse may be too much @ the moment. If she doesn't want to go, it's a long way for me to drive. So if I'm there, I'd be more than happy. But I may not be there yet so don't hold your breath. And actually, as I type I have a sneaking suspicion that's the day she comes back from hols so maybe not. |
