We have been lucky enough to have recently acquired the 100% Crabbet Stallion 'Winged Saint' but have little information or knowledge of his previous 'life' ! He is a truly lovely boy and we wondered if anyone out there knows of any of his progeny and what they have achieved - we do know of Silver Brocade and his fillies bred by Kay Firth-Butterfield but nothing prior to these foals. Can anyone enlighten me please ? ? ?

Thanks for that, I looked on 'allbreedpedigree' today for progeny but I am not sure either if this is all the foals he has produced. I think there must be more than that, he is 18 years old - you would hope so, eh ? |

Well, for a fact there is no Fan Winpri out of Silvern Princess as listed on all breeds. She had a chestnut colt foal last year by Spearmint.
If you stop and think about it...Fan=fantasy; Win=Winged Saint;Pri=Princess
Think someone wanted to see what such a cross looked like and it would be something special....Sire line *Rissalix on to Mahruss. Dam line Rodania; strain Kuhailan Rodania...A creature that would be super intelligent, athletic and considering the two pedigrees...a pretty awesome cross.
Are you going to stand him to outside mares? He has a fabulous Kuhailan Dajania dam line via some very winning mares and he must be quite lovely. Would love to see some pictures! |

I thought that maybe the Fan Winpri was an imagined foal as I saw Silvern Princess at Al Waha last year with her foal by Spearmint, who is beautiful by the way! We have only had Winged Saint since the end of June and have covered our mare Makheeleha (Silver Scenario/Crystal Farifi) and he is now happily living out with her. We would like to stand him to outside mares and I would be happy to post some pictures if only I knew how, I am very new to this ! |

Thanks, Pauline, I will sort some out. We only have thumbnail proofs at present of the photos we used on the Stud display on the Crabbet Stand at the Nationals. |

Hi Gunni, Thank you so much for posting your pictures, they are lovely babies ! It is so nice for me to see Saint's grandchildren, all with a surprising amount of white considering he only has a star and a snip and one white leg ! Maybe that came through the damlines? What a lovely shaped neck on your colt Meadley and seeing him out with your grandson is lovely. Saint loves company too and will just come and stand with us in the field, waiting for a scratch or a cuddle! There are never too many pictures for me ! Terri ;o)

About the markings, I was not surprised with Sami and Meadley as their mothers are with markings, but Martinis colt surprised me as Martini only have one white sock and a blaze. Muolton Millennium has four white socks and a blaze, but it is normal in size, if you can understand what I mean by that LOL.

He looks better than I expected. Thanks for putting the pics up. I do hope you find some Crabbet mares to use him on as his son, Moulton Millenium, certainly clicked with my El Sharluke daughters, and has left Gunni with some very nice youngsters. The high white markings however, come through the dam line Shuhira who was by Shirar ex Istashra. However, El Sharluke also had a white blaze and four white stockings and he was by a Taqah son, Amboseli. Good luck with Winged Saint. |

Thanks for that, Di. I also hope he has the chance to prove himself on some Crabbet mares - unfortunately I don't have one myself ! |

Whereabouts are you located and are the Crabbet folks fully aware of you? |
