Does anyone know where I can get a very thin snaffle from for my double bridle as I think my lad would be more comfortable, he's fine but it just seems a lot of metal and my instructor suggested a thinner one but I can't find one, it's a jointed eggbutt.

Have you had a look at bradoons?

KK do some fine ones for use with a double bridle

try www.neueschulebits.com I put my lad in one of theirs last spring and he loves it, nice and dainty for their small mouths too.

You might find a *different* snaffle a better answer - and easier to find - than a thinner one (though Arabs *do* prefer not to have a lot of metal in their mouths) . Double jointed ones such as a Dr Bristol, French Link or Fillis (hanging snaffle) seem to suit Arabs better than fat eggbut single-links.
