Well I am in a minority as I think Weatherbeeta are the worst fit for my boy. He does have a summer full next Landa lite which is 5 9, when he is really a 6ft I only got that cos I needed a full neck to ensure his mane doesn't get rubbed and it has no filling and I couldn't afford the Rhino one. That fits him ok but tends to rub his shoulders a little. Shires fit him well as do Horseware Rhino (would love to get the Rambo but again they are £££).
Masta rugs are totally the wrong shape for him too.
our arab is 14h2 and in a 5'6 rug weatherbeater arion combo and fits perfect as well. as a 5'6 other weatherbeter rug not sure make and our coloured 2yo half arab is in a 5'9 weatherbeater orican combo (heavy) and is roomy but fits well and nice and cosy
Hi just a thought an email shop i use has a sale on and there are quite a few good offers on rugs like weatherbeeta landa combos etc.. its www.tds-saddlers.com ive always found them very easy to use and also very quick deliveries. i use various rugs on my arabs ranging from 5.9" upto 6.3" just on my arabs. My thoroughbred has all their castoffs and he's happy - anything fits him!!
Thanks for all the input. Think I have finally cracked it after missing the bargain weatherbeeta. A couple of you suggested Ebay, so I scoured the site and found a rug made by Reffond (the sister company to Fal)from his ears to his tail he'll be a bug in a rug!!1680D nylon outer and 400g of warmth. £56 + £9 p+p.
