Hiya All, and Happy New Year! Just thought i would let you all know how Malika is doing. She's been back with me for about a month and a half now, she's put on weight slowly and steadily-still got more to gain, but theres no poverty line now, which is really lovely to see. Her skin is also getting better, all the big scabs are gone now, and new hair is growing through. She still looks unsightly though! But she's now able to wear a rug. I'm hoping she will be able to start light hacking about March time. I hope to get some piccies of her soon as Bob is maybe coming over this month!!!!
All the horses have now been moved, after 2 years of driving to 2 sometimes 3 different fields, it is lovely to have them all at one place. Nikkix

Nikki,
I expect you have made a new life long friend.
Folk like him are few and far between these days, which I am sure most of us realise.
Really glad to hear her ladyship is on the mend physically and mentally.
Would love to see photos of you back on board in the summer.
Take Care, Kindest regards, Pat. |

Thanks again everyone. yes people like Bob are few and far between-and i can think of others who also offered help-who again few and far between! Yes i hope i've made life long friend. It certainly has been a blessing having her back, as it's given me an added distraction as my Grandad passed away just before xmas.
It's just so nice looking at her now, she looked like a burns victim with all the sore on her, but now the coat is coming through. I had to start her as if she hadn't been fed anything coz it didn't look like she had been even though the girl said she had, better to be safe than sorry. I'm even thinking of taking her to Malvern this year!
I am trying to write about what happened and send it in to the arab mags, but where and how do i start? Nikkix |

Email Paula Nikki,
Perhaps she would run your story through the on-line magazine here. Worst thing she can say is No.
It would certainly make a story, and with a happy ending, which we all love. |
