Ansata Imperial sired Imperial Imdal 1986 Champion Stallion

Hi Gunni,
Yes the little picture is Oran (Riffal X Astrella) but the other one isn't Nizzam! Though I can certainly think of a daughter of one of these two stallions that Lady Wentworth bred to the other, Crabbet isn't the connection between the two

Well done Jude! It is The Chief He was exported to Holland in 1952 and I think that there is a strong resemblence between the two brothers Perhaps not surprising, considering their pedigree which has three close-up crosses to Astraled and Feysul, as well as two to Mesaoud, Ridaa and Risala! Ridaa and Risala being mother and daughter of course, and Astraled a son of Mesaoud Sadly no photo's exist of the colt Exceptional (The Chief X Extra Special by Oran) who was also exported.

Thanks Mike, yes what a strong resemblance they have - not surprising
What a shame there are no photos of Exceptional, that would be a plus.

Sorry Lyndilou, I'm rather busy at this time of year. Don't you think some of us post far too often and maybe put some of our younger members off
Maybe we should give them a chance to offer to put some questions up. Go for it people |

Perhaps there should be two quizzes? one easy, and one more advanced? or maybe the whole thing should be dropped? I am asking to find out if people want it really. its just a bit of light entertainment for the long winter days and nights so can we have a little response please |
