As posted by Roseanne in Disccutions Forum ------------------------------------------------------------------------My friend has a very attractive Arab that was sold to her 11 years ago (!) without papers and it seems to me there is so much knowledge among AL members that it may be possible to find out who he really is! The horse is a 14.2hh chestnut with three white socks and a blaze - now aged 23. He was originally 'confiscated' from his owner - apparently an Arab man who had bought the horse for his very young daughter - who had not paid his outstanding livery fees. This was in the south Berkshire area. He is known as Danny, but this could have been Dani which features in the AHS stud books. My friend was told he looked Polish by an Arabian Saddle Company fitter. He was sold by the livery company to a woman called Jackie Carson who had a lot of success locally showjumping him. He also did a bit of cross country. My friend kept him at Bluey's Farm, Marlow and she believes he had always been kept in the south Bucks area - Slough, Farnham etc. Guess we may be able to put a picture on here through Bob's system if my friend has one. One distinguishing feature or habit he has is sucking (really sucking) peppermints!!
Any leads anyone? ------------------------------------------------------------------------

I rescued my first mare and had no papers. Treated her as partbred and put her to a purebred. The second foal (Tamila) was so araby that I wrote to all the studs in the area I bpought her from and they came up with her papers. I had to have the whole lot bloodtyped but then received corrected reg. papers for the two fillys. They both went on to produce for me but unfortunately after all my efforts she died when foaling (Rimarli who was hand reared).
