Hi,
Imogen and familiy were all bred by the Jenkins family in Hertfordshire - you may have seen Lulu riding Ramondo to his his Native Costume win in Towerlands this year. They are all proper 'doing' horses and can win racing or jumping. They are a cross of the Spanish stallion Procyon on old English, Hardcastle bloodlines, both noted for athletic ability.
We owned a full brother to Imogen, Indigo Ibn Procyon. He raced for us in Poland and the UK and won in both countries. He was a handsome pale grey with huge eyes and a vast sense of humour. We discovered late that he was a rig, which may have explained his bounciness ! He was a nice horse and was sold to the west country - would like to hear what he has been up to as well.
We leased Indra Mohini for one year and had a filly by her from Crusader, Ismene who is now in Israel.
You will have a great time with a Jenkins horse, whatever you want to do. #regards Emma

Thanks for all of the replies- have been away for the weekend and am just trying to catch up. Pauline- I only have info on Imogens last 5 foals from 1996 do you have any details of the 1st 3. You have already answered my question on what she was doing before she was 9- she was so good to bridle & saddle I was beginning to think she had done it all before but i guess she is just very laid back. Emma- I much prefer your 'doing' description to some of my friends'cobby' comments as there is nothing cobby about the way she moves -Indigos bounciness made me laugh,(please let me know if you trace him) I spend hours watching her Tigger round the field- none of my other arabs have ever done it. She is an amazing shade of white despite constant rolling , has the most enormous eyes and spends a disproportionate amount of time 4ft above the ground with little or no effort and mostly from a standstill. She is a dream to handle & travel, bombproof with traffic/ tractors, incredibly nosy, endlessly entertaining (esp with the pig next door)and a little treasure even if I never find a saddle to fit. Its so great to know a little more about her past. regards Shelley

Hi,
I'm afraid I don't know your horse, but am interested in some of the postings as I have a wonderful mare, Lady Ace, out of her sister Indrella Bint Procyon (who appeared at Malvern this year in the Veteran Mare class and won a showjumping class there too). I have to agree with the sheer versatility and bounciness of this family as my mare is a really fun lively ride and in her 9 years has done showing, dressage, showjumping, cross country, Endurance to Intermediate level and now this season has just started Racing which she loves and is showing very good form - can't wait til next season! |

Hi Shelley,
Yes, Lady Ace is the grey mare in my signature. I also have some pictures of Indrella from Malvern which I will try to find and email to you.
