Right, as welsh mare and foal.........not the Shulay Mare....does anyone know who bought her as very concerned for her and her obviously poorly foal...off suck, could be very ill foal.
Surely the Seller could be prosecuted for wilful neglect in sending a poor mare with ill foal to an auction !!!

Just looked at pics of the Welsh Palomino Mare and foal.....Mare looks scruffy and lean, however, the foal looks bright and thriving so not too concerned or think mare or foal have been severely starved.
Hopefully, worming, maybe de-lousing if necessary, doctor greengrass and TLC may be all she needs to return into acceptable condition.
I understand Shulay Montana is in very poor condition, suffering from bad rain scald and also has a sick foal.......very concerned for her welfare and that of her foal. Has anyone found out who has purchased Shulay Montana (16yr old palomino)

Yes Shulay Montana was definately there ( Lot 61 ) my friend who goes to those sales every month is a Palomino judge & she told me on the phone she saw her there before i even had chance to ask her ! And there was also another Pally judge there who recognised her . Montana is a very dark Pally the sort that remain golden all year round , her mane & tail were unwashed & she was covered in rainscald so u`d probably think she was a light chestnut & shes about 14.2hh approx ! The way the advert read in the catalogue about her being a show mare & ridden last winter i dont expect anyone would have thought this poor little mare fitted the description , both her & her foal looked awfull . |
