we can name and shame ANYONE where a prosecution has been successful. I think the various forums and web sites should pull together on this one so each can collect a data base of these people.
a stickied thread on a forum should be enough, the information required would be the date time and place of the actual case so it could be verified before the details get onto the forum.
for the many more cases that never make it to court, members should be able to post before and after photos of a horse with a private contact for anyone who wants to know the name, and naming the individuals and the legal implications remains with the poster.
people need to be specific and accurate.
I could use one I 'rescued' ad then passed on to a wonderful home where i get regular photos showing his much improved condition and joy for life.
On (date in october ) i saw this horse at ( Beeston, sale venue) being sold by a dealer from the (chester) area. these are the photos take the day i bought him off the dealer. (6 photos) These are photos 3 months later before going off to his new home (3/4 photos) these are photos 6 months later in his new home. ( another half dozen photos) some background I traced the horse history and he had been sold to the dealer only 5 months before from a home he had been in for 15 years. The dealer promised him a home for life, owner did not know he was a dealer. then contact me for the name of the dealer.
This sort of format could be on a form for someone to fill in, and submit to a site's admin to ensure that the perp cannot be identified from the story, and have the topics locked so posting of the stories is managed.
it is the PHOTOS that should be used to tell the tale. but anyone who is looking to buy / sell / loan in a particular area can privately ask the originator for more information that the originator takes responsibility for.
