Suffered terribly over past 3 weeks after stress of almost losing a foal.
Normally an attack lasts 2-3 days and then calms down, this time its knocked me to the floor. A lot of pain, fevers, sleeping 15hours a day, no energy, lack of interest in life.....
On high dose steroids, which makes me tearful and moody. Poor OH!
Anyone out there suffer with this? How do you cope?
I have not stopped my life because of this. Was in Spain last weekend and will go to Austria to see my horses on friday, but bloody hell, its difficult. I will soon have to buy a new smile.
Any advise big or small, medical or homeopathic, or just to know im not alone.
to pain!!!!!

Hi Justine,
My mum's partner has suffered from this on and off for 20 years. He had a really bad relapse when he gave up smoking 5 yrs ago but it is sort of under control again, although he still suffers from diarrhea alot. He has just started taking a new drug called Questran which has been a miracle drug for some people. If you've not tried it maybe it is worth asking your GP about?
Sally

Edited to say - also I have a friend who has severe Crohn's and she absolutely swears by Aloe Vera juice.
