By Den do you mean me V? I definitely will NOT be watching it, infact I will be bending over backwards to avoid it. Might just have to go to the pub, preferably one without a tv screen I cannot bear Eurovision, just get rid of it, it's a load of old tosh And I don't care if we win (which we won't) or not cos it's rubbish! Just leave those Eastern Europeans to it they can keep it. PS could never understand why everyone thinks Mr Wogan is such a 'Legend' either, think I'd better go and hide now |

Until this morning when I heard it was on on the radio I didn't know anything about it! Why hasn't there been anything on TV this year? (Maybe there has and I clearly spend too much time down the stables - or in the pub lol!)
What time is it on? |

I will be watching.
Dont know why but I get really patriotic about the Eurovision song contest and sit there booing and hissing at the countries that give us nil points.

Vera Pasha, It's been on BBC3 this week (rather too much)! Semi finals, which I've actually managed to come across accidently (several times) |

I had planned to vito this year as like the legend that is Wogan, I am sick of the farcical voting, but I know that I will just not be able to resist on the night It will be interesting to see how the new voting system will work.
Go Jade! |

Blimey, that Norwegian boy....sorry man is 23 years old - he looks about 17! Not a bad song I suppose, but I quite liked the Lithuanian song.....not that I watched much of it as I've been working on an essay to be submitted with my portfolio on Tuesday. The course is: "Mentorship and Work Based Learning and Assessment in Health and Social Care", and when I pass I'll be put on the Nursing and Midwifery Council's register of qualified mentors.

I have no qualms about Russia and the Baltic states but what about Israel, I really don't consider Israel to be European by any stretch of the imagination! |

A runaway winner with the highest ever points total. Possibly not the best song but always looked the most likely to generate mass appeal across all the countries. Iceland probably had the best performed song and Azerbaijan was best of the typical winning style from recent years.
The UK's best finish for seven years (it seems longer). The high position is probably down to the amount of touring done since qualifying to get the song and the singer known in other countries. The song itself was not that strong and the performance on the night was nervy (standing too close to a violinist and getting hit by the bow didn't help).
The split between phone votes and a jury seems to have done what was hoped although it will need more evidence to test this out.
