I can't find the original thread where some of us were having a stress about our weight.

I had a thoroughly depressing episode last night I'm going to an 18th birthday party tonight so doing the trying on of outfits thing. Aaarggghhhh, my going out clothes looked awful, I must have put on more weight in the past few months than I thought. I obviously don't go out enough or I'd have noticed sooner

I'm going for a very forgiving tunic dress which husband says "doesn't show off your figure". Duh, that's the whole point, there's nothing to show off I'm hoping people will think 'retro' rather than 'expecting'.

Next week sees the start of the Kelloggs challenge, drastic measures are needed. Has anyone tried the cereal 2 times a day thing and did it work? Off to wallow in self pity..............sob

i lost 5lb last week! yay nothing fits other than trackys so im running 3x a week 100 sit up a day and being stupidly strict with my food
1 1/2 slices of toast for breakfast with small ammount of butter
salad and one boiled egg for lunch no dressing and jacket potatoe with tuna or whatever family having for tea but only served on child plate so it looks like a platefull and i eat it slowly so it lasts longer.

I measured my arms chest waist hips and thighs and wrote it down with my weight so each monday am i remeasure if you see real progress it helps you keep going. I still need encouragement as i have another 28lb to go!

Will also be getting some phase 2 as chemist says im not fat enough for diet pills! like that skinny cow would know!

Wrong time of the month! I made the mistake of buying peanut butter and am eating three crackers with it Otherwise healthy,no wine all week, salad and fish, smoothies etc keeping me going, and my morning actimal. It's exercise I can't motivate myself to do as still not over a cold and just feel leaden limbed.

Ive fallen off the wagon today after having stuck to a diet for just a week! I was starving and made bacon, sausage, eggs and beans Nothing fried tho just grilled and poached egg. I was sooo hungry and couldn't be bothered with anything else but it did taste good I lost 3 1/2 lbs last week so was doing ok.

Jackie one day of eating a little off the track won't do any harm,in fact if you've been on a fairly low-cal plan it could even give your metabolism a bit of a boost which could lead to losing a bit more!I know how you feel though as I attacked the ice cream the other night (out of carton with spoon,no bowl meant I wasnt really eating it!!) but got straight back to health the next day. Still determined not to drink any booze til Saturday. It scares me how young kids are aware of weight etc. I saw a program about it and ten year olds are on diets! World gone madYou're doing so well though!

I am joining the diet and excercise gang from today Had a riding lesson this morning and my instructor told me he could tell id put on weight since last week and then at the end he told me to keep practicing and stop eating!!

He's lucky we get on well and the lessons are going so brilliantly or i'd tell him where to go but i think he may have a point!! I must aviod the vending machine in the office now at all costs...

Ouch Nut, that's a bit harsh! He must be a really good instructor for you to put up with that.

I'm doing quite well sticking to my Kelloggs challenge although I did think I might pass out in Tescos last night so I had to have a couple of biscuits before I went to look after my horses.
It's bread that is my main vice. I love bread mmmmmmm. The trouble is I was clocking up about 8 slices a day, not good.

I blame contentment, seriously when I was single and stressed out I could buy a pair of size 10 jeans and not even know what a muffin top was. Now my muffin top follows me everywhere. Being happily married is not good for your waistline.

If only I could find time to exercise

when single i did between 2 and 10 horses every day worked full time went to the gym for at least 8 hrs aweek and then came less horses now none (temporarily as mine are on loan) 4 kids a hubby and no job! i have no time for anything let alone the gym or housework and cooking for a big man who loves food and kids that love cakes and biscuits (home made) leaves me 24lb heavier with massive muffin top and no energy! someone kick me up the but we are off on holiday in half term and i want to wear a cozy on the beach (if its warm enough dorset in may?)

Im Bloody fed up.
Had way too much wine and crisps over the weekend. My fault, I know.
Then started back on my diet and I feel run down, cold, hot, tired and just rubbish.
My ulcerative colitis is back big style. My stomach is acidy so cant take my steroids.
I want to stay in bed all day but animals dont allow.
Off to spain next week and will look like a lazy fat whale in my bikini.
I can hear food shouting from the fridge, try me, eat me. And those crisps in the cupboard, thats it, dogs are getting a treat.
Why was I not born a petite carefree size 10.
Oh, well battle on.....

On a Thursday, I clean for a lady who has some digital scales, so I weighed myself last Thursday, & my aim is to lose 1 lb a week for 7 weeks then keep it off.
Let you know how I get on on Thursday.I know it may not sound much weight to lose but I'll feel better in myself if I can lose that little bit.
Fingers crossed!!!!

Wow, well done Jacki, you are doing great

I've only had one slip up and that was an ice cream treat on Sunday. We took the dog for a long walk and I felt like I'd earned it. I think I'll have to let myself have a weekend treat or I'll go mad.
I resisted the biscuit tin after mucking out, no bread for a week (oh the pain) and I managed to turn down some after eight mints.

I'm very glad I don't have a summer holiday coming up, I think bikini shopping would be too much of an ordeal for me at the moment. It's always awful looking at yourself in those fluorescent changing room lights
