Any advice on taking a yearling for his first trailer ride? He loads like a dream, stands quietly and has had the back up behind him, so I don't think there's any more preparation I can do. Any advice or previous experience would be much appreciated
Thanks, Mouse

Hi, it sounds like you've done all the preparation you can - well done. Personally I think I would have a "rock steady" companion next to him to show him there's nothing to worry about when the trailer moves, and just go for a little, steady drive around the block maybe - with treats afterwards.
Good luck. Caryn |

Hi Caryn
Thank you very much for your reply. I didn't use a companion as the trailer is all set up without a partition. But he did get lots of carrots afterwards! He took it all in his stride like he does with everything, I'm definitely a very proud Mum. Got a big smile on my face now and breathing a huge sigh of relief

Hi Mouse,
Well done to both of you.....I did this last year with my then yearling and did the same as you and he was a star.
This week we will see if he remembers that it was all fine when I ask him to go back in again as a big 2 year old....fingers crossed!!!Im sure he will be fine but its so nerve racking
