Firstly a massive thank you to Louisa Simpson who has been the proud caretaker of our lovely gelding Shesk for some time now. Louisa has looked after and cared for Shesk with 100% perfection and has enjoyed some amazing show ridden results over the past couple of years.
Louisa had a somewhat surprise addition to her family last year when at just 30 weeks into her pregnancy her beautiful and precious son Noah could not wait to arrive. After a very anxious few months soon mum and son were thriving and everything was carrying on as normal with our loan agreement.
This year though Louisa and I have talked about the long term happiness and care of Shesk (at 16hh with an interesting sense of humour) he’s not everyone’s cup of tea and Louisa’s increasing work and family commitments we jointly decided that if an alternative perm loan home for rabbit could be found we’d consider it.
So… about 13 years ago after my first marriage breakup I sold a rather lovely newly gelded stallion into the very best home anyone could ever wish for – enter Pasha! I know how much energy and time Sarah and Mum put into their passion so contact was made, introductions made and after a superb first meeting on Sunday it has been decided that Rabbit will spend the rest of his live long days with Sarah and Pasha!
So here is living proof that sometimes loan homes do work out and that some owners both (actual and loaners) do consider the well being of their horses as being the most important issue when re homing their horses.
We would like to extend a huge cuddle in Louisa’s direction as I know this is a heartbreaking decision for her to let the bunny go and another big hug towards Sarah and all our very best wishes to Shesk settling easily and you both having a brilliant dressage and show career ahead of you.
Thanks guys – you restore the faith!
Good luck bunny - not that you'll need it

The news has broken! Yippee! So I can now share with you all just how excited I am and just how grateful I am that Angie and Louisa have entrusted their gorgeous boy to me and mum
I cannot tell you what it felt like when Angie thought to contact me, after everything we have been through with Pasha over the last few months I really thought I would never get another Arab as they just get too close and of course, how could I ever replace Pasha?
When Angie described him to me over the phone I thought she was describing Pash... all his little quirks and his dislikes and likes, I thought, hang on... this is a Pasha!!
Louisa has done such an AMAZING job with him - he is a pure joy to ride, effortlessly gliding along and soo responsive! My trainer is going to think she's died and gone to heaven - it is soo rare to find a beautiful top class horse who hasn't been spoilt in some way nowadays!
I'm hoping Pasha and Rabbit will become the best of friends and can understand eachother (as the other horses don't seem to understand Arabic funnily enough)
All that's left to say really is A HUGE MASSIVE THANK YOU to Angie and Louisa, you have made me, mum and Pasha the happiest people ever!!
Watch this space as there will be serious photo overload when we get him home!
Sarah xx |

Ooh Sarah he looks lovely. I was thoroughly confused in the first post - surely Pasha is a horse not a person (dont tell him) and cannot be trusted with another horse's welfare, but then the penny dropped. So glad you have not gone over to the dark side after all... You havent even had to compromise on height! |

And nice to hear some good news. After successfully having had a loan horse for the past 5,5 years I know loans can work very well. |

Thanks so much for your well wishes!! Pasha the horse (and person - me) is very excited!! I took him to see Rabbit's box this morning as i'm hoping he would like to spend some time in there for a change of scenery during the day - we will see
This horse naming thing is all very confusing I must admit!!
Pasha is in fact Walfrieds Neptun and Angie used to call him Neptun! Mum decided to call him Pasha as his stable name and I adopted it for my log-ins etc and now everyone calls me Pasha anyway
Rabbit's real name is Shesk and I believe he is also called Shesky and Bunny! I won't be adding anymore to the mix that's for sure and will stick with what he knows!

Dont forget to buy some blue shampoo now you are a grey-horse owner.. Forget about the grooming kit, you and the kettle are going to be better acquainted (arabs dont do cold water) |

Thanks Julia - we have hot water at the yard (it's a god send), but by all accounts Rabbit is quite a little toughie and is happy to have the hose on him Louisa said 'Dirty Beastie' shampoo is his favourite so will stock up on that |

I heartily agree, I loaned my stallion to Hollowsmoor stud, and Rosie loved my boy like he was her own, and if I had to leave my boy to anyone, god forbid anything were to happen to me, but it would be Rosie, he came back looking fabulous and his manners impeccable and he missed her dreadfully when he first came back and was depressed for sometime, any horse that Rosie has is very very lucky, I will be eternally grateful to her always for taking such good care of my boy. |

I got my first horse by doing it as a loan. I had another horse that I was looking at but that fell through as the horse went lame before all the agreements were signed. Then I met Herbie and the rest is history - I never thought I would own an Arab but now that I have, I don't think I would ride any other type of horse!!
